Follow these steps to set up a GrandStream GXW-4104 or GXW 4108 gateway for the FacetPhone System:
1. Ensure that you have created the Gateway, and the PSTN lines that will be connected to the GrandStream SIP Gateway in the FPGUI.
a. Configure Gateway through the FPGUI
b. Configure Lines through the FPGUI
2. Connect the GrandStream GXW-4104 gateway to the network and power supply. The device will boot up, using its factory-configured default IP address 192.168.0.160.
3. Now point your browser to the Grandstream gateway configuration site: http://192.168.0.160.

4. Enter the password of the device and click "Login" to access the gateway configuration. The default password is "admin".
5. Once the page loads, click on the link "Basic Settings" tab at the top of the page:

Enter the Gateway IP Addressing: "Static"
a. Gateway IP Address
b. Subnet Address
c. Default Gateway "Route"
d. Select Time Zone
e. Click the "Update" button at the bottom of the page.
f. Click "Reboot"
6. Once the page loads, click on the link "ADVANCED SETTINGS" tab at the top of the page:

a. IMPORTANT! Under "Firmware Upgrade and Provisioning" Change from "Always Check for New Firmware to Always Skip the Firmware Check".
b. Enter syslog server IP ADDRESS
NOTE: On the FacetPhone server change the following syslog configuration file:
(x) /etc/sysconfig/syslog
# Options to syslogd
# -m 0 disables 'MARK' messages.
# -r enables logging from remote machines
# -x disables DNS lookups on messages received with -r
# See syslogd(8) for more details
SYSLOGD_OPTIONS="-m 0 -r"
After completing the modification restart the syslog daemon
c. Click the "Update" button at the bottom of the page.
d. Click "Reboot"
7. Once the page loads, click on the link "Profile 1" tab at the top of the page:

a. Set the "SIP Server" field to the IP Address of the FacetPhone Server.
b. Click the "Update" button at the bottom of the page.
c. Click "Reboot"
8. Once the page loads, click on the link "CHANNELS" tab at the top of the page:

a. Configure "Channel Voice Setting:" Silence Suppression(Y/N): ch1-8:N;
b. Configure "Channel Specific Setting:" DTMF Methods(1-7): ch1-8:4; "SIP Info"
c. Increase the "Rx from PSTN Audio Gain(dB)" to (6) default=6
d. Click the "Update" button at the bottom of the page.
e. Click "Reboot"
9. Once the page loads, click on the link "FXO LINES" tab at the top of the page:

a. Enable Current Disconnect: Yes Threshold: 300
b. Set the "DTMF Digit Length" field to "ch1-8:15;"
c. Set the "Stage Method" field to "ch1-8:1;" (1 Stage Dialing)
d. Minimum delay before dialing PSTN: "ch1-8:750;"
e. Unconditional Call Forward to VOIP:
User ID: ch1-8:999;
SIP Server: ch1-8:p1;
SIP Destination Port: ch1-8:5060;
f. Click the "Update" button at the bottom of the page.
g. Click "Reboot"
2. Connect the GrandStream GXW-4104 gateway to the network and power supply. The device will boot up, using its factory-configured default IP address 192.168.0.160.
3. Now point your browser to the Grandstream gateway configuration site: http://192.168.0.160.

4. Enter the password of the device and click "Login" to access the gateway configuration. The default password is "admin".
5. Once the page loads, click on the link "Basic Settings" tab at the top of the page:
